What Today's Smartphone Needs

PCMag’s Dvorak:

The Android phone and the iPhone should be the two final winners in the game. While I’ve never been a strong believer in the notion that most of the Internet action is going to be done on mobile devices like this, it is obvious that a lot of Internet activity will be done on these things.

After reading this I am convinced of 3 things:

  1. Microsoft doesn’t give a crap about phones

  2. Not even the Prē can save Palm

  3. If RIM still has a majority of the business market, why does it seem like their latest devices (Storm, I’m looking at you) have failed to really compete with the iPhone or the G1 as a legitimate choice for these customers?

That said, being able to use a keyboard with my iPhone (without some jailbreak or hack) would be awesome.
